Design File Management

EasyCart allows you to upload themes for the shopping system separate from the WordPress Themes and gives you highly customized layouts and themes.

Video Available: There is a helpful video tutorial that you may want to watch regarding EasyCart upgrading in our video library. Click to View Now

Simply chose your theme and layout and the entire shopping system will begin using those files.

Layouts: These control the placement of images, text, buttons on the page.
Themes: These control the styling, coloring, and overall CSS of the images, text, buttons on a page.

Note: These should be set to 'No Child Theme' if you would like to receive and use the most current versions during a plugin update. Only use child themes if you are sure you know what you are doing as a designer or developer.

Upload Design Packages

If you are given a custom theme pack, you can upload it here and it will work as a child theme. IF files exist here, they will be used, otherwise, it will fall back to the most current version on your plugin. Simply upload here the layout pack and the theme pack and you have the entire site styled to match!

Update to Latest Design:

If you have 'No Child Theme' selected, you will receive the latest design files and begin using them immediately without any action required during a plugin update. If you created a child theme, then you will need to integrate changes manually.

CSS/JS Cache Management

In order to help improve performance, EasyCart offers it's own cache management feature to let you save CSS and JS files in a cache rather than looking them up each time. This process can speed up EasyCart 3 times it's normal speed without the cache.

We offer a Production and Development mode. Development mode is great for those setting up the store and designing, since you probably want to see your CSS changes on the front end. Production mode is good once your ready and want CSS/JS files cached and saved for speed.

You can also rebuild the cache on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis. It's ok to have it do this as it does not take that long to do, yet insures your CSS and JS files are most current.

If you wish to flush the cache manually, we offer that option as well, just click 'Refresh Cache' and it will rebuild the files for you.
