Shipping - Live Rates

Live shipping rates allow you instant access to UPS, USPS, FedEx, and Australian Post live rates with instant calculations based on your Zip Code and the customers zip code. Simply setup each carrier and the carrier codes you wish to allow and customers can choose from the rates during checkout.

Note: There is also the inclusion of handling charges, which can be set at the product level OR globally on this page. So whatever shipping method you choose (live, price, weight, or static methods), the user can also incur a handling charge if a specific product requires extra cost. This handling charge is added to any shipping price during checkout, so it is a true shipping and handling charge.

Testing Connections

You can also click Test Connection to see if you get a verified live online status with the shipping carriers API. If you get an yellor or red light with errors, you must correct those or contact the carrier company to see if you need to activate the account. Most of the time, it is a username/password issue that simply needs correcting and then it will come online.

Mix and Match Carriers

If you have a live code under any of the three live carriers, it will assume you wish to show those to the customer. Therefore, you may have 2 codes from UPS, 1 code from FedEx and 3 codes from USPS and it will retrieve those. If you do not want a code, then you must remove it.

Note: Please check with your carriers account for the most current codes. While they will rarely change these shipping codes, we may not have the full list in our software as demonstrations.
